Decoration Day - Annually, Day Before Mothers Day

Everyone with family or loved ones buried at Elmwood is encouraged to participate by coming out to bring flowers and clean monuments to help prepare for Mother’s Day. Board members are at the Mausoleum 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer questions and provide directions to graves, as well as cleaning solution (D/2) and supplies for a people who wish to clean their monument.

Veterans Day Flag Placement- Annually , Saturday before Veterans Day

Volunteers, including family and loved ones are invited to the cemetery on the Saturday before Veterans Day (Nov. 11) to help place flags on the graves of the more than 500 veterans buried in Elmwood. In addition, cleaning kits are provided by the Association to clean grave markers. Volunteers are asked to return the next week to help pick up the flags.
